The following are the available spaces for rent at The Point, along with the capacity based on configuration.

GYM/MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM

The gym is approximately 10,500 sq. feet and is regulation size for both basketball and volleyball games.  It can also be divided for two smaller, more intimate spaces.  The space has been used for sporting and youth events, as well as receptions and dances.  Seated at table and chairs, the entire space can fit 500+ people.

Reception Style (tables and chairs): 500+ people seated

Seminar Style (chairs only): 800+ people seated

Concert Style (no tables or chairs): 1000+ people standing

SEMINAR ROOM

The seminar room is an enclosed space off of the gym/multi-purpose room.  It has finished walls, is carpeted, but with an unfinished ceiling.  This space has worked very well with smaller parties, seminars, workshops, and classes.  It is exceptionally flexible, with a square configuration and open space.

Reception Style (tables and chairs): 125+ people seated

Seminar Style (chairs only): 200+ people seated

Concert Style (no tables or chairs): 300+ people standing

MEZZANINE

The upstairs area of The Point is available for use as well.  However, this is the most restricted space as it is susceptible to higher amounts of traffic.  This space has been used for small receptions, for specialty use in cojunction with formal events in the downstairs areas, and small groups.

Seminar Style (chairs only): 100+ people seated

Concert Style (no tables or chairs): 120+ people standing

GLOBAL Coffee House

The coffee house is a fully licensed coffee house/restaurant through the Health Department of Kalamazoo County.  At this time, GLOBAL, it's kitchen and storage area, are not usable for any guests or the public to access outside of patronage in the seating area during hours of operation.  If you have any further questions, please contact the coffee house manager by clicking here.
